Investment for my future

The day before my LASIK surgery, my parents handed me a card with the inscription “Let the wonders begin.” Since my surgery, I can’t help but reflect on the truth of that statement: I now see the world in an entirely different manner. From the age of 8, I have relied significantly on corrective eye wear to perform daily tasks and simply function. I finally decided to take the plunge and get LASIK with Dr. Stuart Lewis and Cherry Creek Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and it has drastically improved my quality of life. The procedure took less than an hour, was minimally uncomfortable, and I was instructed entirely of what to expect when I left the office. After a 4 hour nap at home, I woke up with clear vision and only a bit of normal cloudiness and eye soreness. I knew I was in the absolute best hands with Dr. Lewis, as he and his staff performed extensive calculations during my pre-operative visits in order to provide me with the best clinical care possible. My post-surgery instructions included wearing protective goggles, and following a regimen of eye drops over a four day period. During my post-operative visit, just 24 hours after surgery, the cloudiness had resolved and I was reading with 20/10 vision. I consider LASIK to be one of the best investments I have made for my future, and believe that I picked the best provider for my surgery.

"The real voyage of discovery consists of not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." New eyes indeed. I continually describe the procedure as miraculous. I have worn a correction since the age of 4. I was at the point that I could not do anything without my contacts in my eyes. I was a bit nervous about the cataract procedures. The staff both at the Cherry Creek office and at the Rose Surgery center were so helpful and reassuring. I would highly reccomend Dr. Lewis and the procedure to anyone. Now (3 months post surgeries) I wake up in a panic that I have slept with my contacts in. I am invigorated each morning seeing the bottom of the bed, the view of Mt. Princeton and the clock. Being outside and not having tears run down my face form the irritaion of contacts in the wind makes all outdoor activities so much more enjoyable. I am truly grateful for this gift!

Cararact Surgery

Dr. Lewis,his office staff and the staff at Harvard Surgery Center Took great care of me. Surgery went extremely well. If I had to grade all of the above, I would definitely give them all an A Plus.

Haven't seen this well for 50 years

Cataract surgery following retina tear surgery one year ago. The new lens was designed to and did remove my life long astigmatism. Dr. Lewis did not over promise or minimize issues – he explained before surgery that while removal of the astigmatism was the goal it could not be guaranteed. But the goal was achieved. The surgery was brief and the recovery time quick. No pain killers were needed and I was back to normal activities within 24 hours. A life long astigmatism has been corrected and my sight has for the first time in my glasses wearing life been corrected to 20/20 in the eye that had the surgery. This is a very skilled surgeon who I recommend highly.

Eye-lid lift.

I had both of my very droopy eye-lids lifted by Dr. Lewis in October 2010.  I was both nervous and excited about the procedure.  Everyone at the surgical center was nice, friendly, and very professional.  I felt like I was in very capable hands.   It was very fast.   I got to the center at 1pm, and was home by 4:30pm.  The stitches were in for a week, and the healing is still going on, but it doesn’t look that bad.  My husband just keeps staring at my new eyes, and tells me how wonderful I look!  I would recommend this procedure to anyone.

Cataract surgery with multifocal lens

It is amazing to be able to drive the car with no glasses and also be able to be at the computer with no glasses.

Everyone at Cherry Creek Eye thank you for making this as pleasant an experience as possible. Including the office staff and Dr Lewis and his assistants.

Love it!!!

For many years I debated back and forth…put it off because of finances but in the end I decided that I wanted to be able to see without contacts!!  I had the lasik procedure June 17, 2010.  As nervous as I was to have the procedure done I am soo pleased!!  The procedure was fast, Dr. Lewis was very re-assuring as I knew he would be.  The evening of my procedure I knew it was worth it I could see!!  Across the room even!  The next day I went to see Dr. Lewis and I was seeing 20/20 almost 20/15!!  After 20+ years of contacts and -350 and -375 eyesight… WOW!!  Instead of waking up in the middle of the night stepping over a red blob… it is actually a 85 pound red dog with legs that I no longer step on!!!

I did get dry eyes although I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis which also gives me dry eyes, that has been resolved with plugs and drops.  I just had my 3 month check up and the results are fantastic 20/15 almost 20/10!!  His eye chart does not go that low!! I haven’t been 20/15 since I was who knows 5???  Loving being able to see Thank you Dr. Lewis!!

I had Lasik in January of 2010. I was nervous because I had never had any type of "elective" surgery before. But my results have been fantastic. I was severely nearsighted before the surgery (-7.5 contacts), and had worn glasses since kindergarten. Now I have better than 20/20 vision. I also was worried about dry eyes, but I only had that for 2 weeks or so following the surgery, now everything is perfectly normal. My only regret is not doing this sooner. I give Dr. Lewis and his staff my highest recommendation.

Recent Lasik Surgery

It has been a week and a half since I got Lasik and I am so happy and amazed with the results. I could see 20/20 the day after surgery and love every second of it. Many may be frightened by the idea of surgery but Dr. Lewis and the staff at the surgery center talked me through the whole procedure. I would highly recommend Lasik to anyone especially if it is performed by Dr. Lewis.

"EYE" love it

Dr. Lewis performed my lasik 13 years ago and my last visit showed no denigration of my vision. I see as well today as the day I walked out of surgery.
